Because of flea bites on humans, this makes many people wonder, “Can fleas live on people?”
The short answer is no.
Fleas will get their blood supply from anywhere they can find it, so they will bite humans.
They tend to bite mostly on ankles and legs, although they can bite anywhere on your body.
They hop from the floor onto you, nibble a few times, and then jump back off.
If fleas are on your furniture, then they may bite higher up on your body, like on your stomach, arms, and even your head.
They will not actually lay their eggs on you, not even in your hair. And they do not live on your body.
You are simply a “passing meal”.
Their marks are similar to a mosquito sting, but smaller. They will swell up as a red itchy bump that will continue to flare up and itch for several days.
Generally, you will see a “series” of bumps anywhere from 1/2 to 1 inch apart. This is because they bite, hop, then chomp again.
